BIOGRAPHY

Power groove metal outfit Undercover Devil hails from the Deep South out of a small town called Malvern in Arkansas. With not much to do other than play music, Undercover Devil’s members came together in the summer of 2014 with no set plans or expectations other than a relentless drive to push their music to the masses and develop their unique musical entity into a long lasting name in the genre.

Undercover Devil’s purpose was to not blend into the overcrowded heavy metal scene, but to set a new standard and rise above. Undercover Devil spent much of 2014 playing countless shows while working hard on their debut release “Burn It Black”. In summer of 2015, they unleashed the highly anticipated 9-track debut resulting in huge positive feedback from fans. The fans were especially enthralled by the bands live spectacle when performing “Burn It Black” from beginning to end. The bands unofficial inauguration to the music scene was loud, eye-catching and unapologetic - giving Undercover Devil a strong foothold and bright future.

Undercover Devil’s members are seasoned live performers and studio musicians, each with individual talents any aspiring musician would give high regards to. Their combined talents are the ultimate driving force that gives the band the edge and advantage in studio and live that fans direly seek. With a combined 40+ years of musical background, each member brings different skillsets to the table ranging from performing countless shows including the Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour in 2012, studio work with a slew of other regional musicians, extensive music composition in various styles and most importantly – being highly active members in the music scene for nearly two decades.

Five guys with very different backgrounds have come together to form a unique Southern Metal offering combining influences from metal, country, blues, rock and classical that is, Undercover Devil.

PRESS

'Burn It Black' has everything that a fan of Southern Metal might enjoy.  Killer riffs, driving rhythms, HUGE choruses.  Vocalist TJ Hobbs' graveled throat delivery is a breath of fresh air! Coupled with backup vocals from Bassist David Lee Bailey and Lead Guitarist Eric Ahart, Choruses to songs like "Informer" and "Adverse Affection" sound monstrous and ALIVE.  Yes they sound like Pantera and Down.  Yes they sound similar to Metallica in spots.  But that doesn't matter.  These guys have re-invented a style and are running with the cause! With the ability to blaze through thrashy cuts such as "The Beginning of the End" and to bring it down to an almost country style with "The Offering," Undercover Devil is as diverse as they come.  'Burn It Black' burns and churns through 9 heavy tracks with no dull moments throughout.

Standout tracks include "Informer," "Supernatural," "Obey," and a personal staff favorite - the swamp laden and slow steamroll of album closer "I Am."

Pay Attention.
